adventures with mascara

Well, not really mascara. Or whatever that stuff is that is put around (over) one's eyes. Anyway, what happened is we (the fencing team) were playing floor hockey, and to make a quick long story short, I turned around, and someone tried to clear the ball, and it hit me right above the eye. I mean, right above the eye. If it was one centimeter lower, or if I was one centimeter taller, it would have hit my eye. Not fun. Anyway, I went down, and someone got ice, and I was ok. It doesn't really even hurt anymore, but it still looks bad if you look at it more than just a passing glance, in which case you won't see it because opening my eye pretty much covers it up. And it's been a week today (friday, even though this will be posted saturday).

I'm in my room now (yay). and I did quite a bit of cleaning, so that's good.

fencing's been ok. it's quite a bit of work, I guess, but it's handleable. if that makes sense. I need to play more squash, because it's fun. elton-fives, anyone?

Yes, I know that last didn't make sense. Too bad, figure it out or ask me. or both. People are coming in tomorrow. should be fun.

at school...again

yes, I'm back at Drew early for fencing. sigh. Not exactly where I want to be. Well, I wouldn't mind, if it was for regular school. Then it'd be fine. But I'm not.

Oh, my eagle ceremony. It was pretty good. I had to do a lot of standing for presentations and carp, but feh. Too bad more people (read: my friends) couldn't come. Oh well. A lot of people came, though. about 100 said they would, and I'm not sure how many showed up, but it didn't seem like that many, but still a fair amount. I have to write thankyous for the stuff people gave me. I should be doing that now, but I'm not. haha.

Fencing practices are pretty good, I guess. The first one (there are two each day) is from 10 to 12, and is a regular fencing practice. The second one is a conditioning practics. It's 3 to 5. We do weightlifting, then something else, like running or plyometrics (not so bad, until the end). Then we play a game for an hour (4 to 5, as part of the practice). That's pretty good.

Yesterday, when I got here, the room was kinda cold, but it was ok. It got colder as time passed. so today at 2:30 or so I called facilities and asked them to fix it. They did, and I came back (after fencing practice) to a much warmer room. But when my roomate got here, he thought it was too hot, so he went over and pushed a panel to open to some knobs that control the heat and such. d'oh.

Anyway, I'm warm now, and everything is going ok. I probably forgot some stuff (like gloves), but oh well.

Ex-girlfriends

black jettas

Yeah...I know you don't get that...unless you're Megan. And even then, I'm not sure. It might be one of those memories that only I have. So it should be written down before I forget it. But it's probably no use, because it's not like it's an important memory like oh yeah, bullets hit JFK from two directions, or even a personally identifiable memory like and then we had sex, so it probably isn't worth the time to type out a paragraph or anything about it.

*rimshot*

Wednesday was a bad day, ex-girlfriend-wise. Jamie (ex) always wore this very strong vanilla scent. I associated it with her, because, well, I hadn't known anyone that wore that before. Well, come to find out, my sister has decided to wear that same vanilla scent. It's very annoying, grr. It's not like I miss her, I just don't want to think about Jamie that much. Anyway, I drove my sister to fencing. It was at east lyme. So, all the ride, I was reminded of Jamie. That wasn't nice. Then, of course, Katie was there. Whee! Oh yes, and her brother. And I don't get along with either. So that was another night of uncomfortableness. I didn't end up getting to referee any matches. Oh well. It was ok.

sigh.

my grandmother's here. up from florida, and such. Not too much fun. Had to go to Temple tonight. I don't quite feel like I have to anymore. My beliefs don't require me to go to temple, because I'm comfortable with what I believe. But I guess that doesn't fly. Not that I tried to convince anyone.

Sigh. I don't want to have an Eagle court of freaking honor on sunday. or ever. I don't want that much attention focused on me. I don't like it, and I don't want it. stupid shit. And I still have to finish up my speech thingy. Which I don't know what I'm going to say, other than to thank a long list of people for stuff they did. gah.

Anyway, I'd like to thank the two people who have commented on here. cystema and Megan. So thank you two.

Everyone else, start commenting. Or maybe no one else is reading this. Yeah, I'd bet that.

comments

You know what you people need to do?

That's right, use the comment feature on this to (not surprisingly) comment. There's only been like three, or something like that.

So work on comments. Or else...

(bleeding gums murphy)-(murphy)=went to dentist today

And I'm also pissed that I missed the Simpsons and other shows new episodes last night. grr. and such.

But I went to the dentist today, and the hygenist was kind of odd. First off, when she was polishing my teeth with the spinning thing, she kept going onto my gums. and now, back where my wisdom teeth were, especially on the right bottom side, hurts. a lot. stupid bitch. Then she was lecturing me about how college students often drink a lot more soda when they go to school. I told her I drink less, because it's only available at meals.

Well, that was the wrong thing to say. She said that I shouldn't drink soda every day. In fact, apparently, soda should only be drunk once every three days. riight. Because it "goes on the front teeth." And the same with coffee with sugar. you know, soda is so bad for your teeth, but only the front ones, amazingly. It's so much worse than, eating food is, because when one drinks soda, it goes right down your throat, as opposed to food, where you chew it for a time. But since you chew food, you crush the sugars down so they no longer make plaque.

punque.

drinking coke with the shadow of a wooden 3D puzzle in front of me

yeah...that's that. I've been working with some 3D puzzles that my aunt got me for christmas. It's been fun. No, really. I'm bringing them back to college and carp. Should be fun. "before you get to talk to me, take this apart and put it back together. No, no pretending you did it.

Um..let's see...what else have I done....was over at Chris' last night. That was pretty good. A bit too much computer and then bad old computer games. Which I still suck at. I think I got one kill, compared to 7 and 4. But I still suck. Yep, I'll stick to the computer for shooting games. Which is all we play. carp. Maybe we'll have to got some good old Mario Party. Ha. Like I'll be able to convince anyone of that.

Megan's emailed me a few times, and we've tried to get a time to talk on AIM (she's in Italy now). But it hasn't worked out. But it has given me an excuse to be online until 4 AM for two consecutive nights. lol. Anyway. I hope we can again, I have to wait until she gets to the next place to see when she can get online. I hope we can get to talk. That'd be nice. But email's good too, I guess.

later!

happy new year

yeah, so today was better. dad wasn't as freakishly annoying. heh.

Wennt over to Matt's at 8. It was pretty good. I suck at halo for xbox, because I can't get used to the controls. I wish I could hook up my mouse for it on the xbox. It's so much better on pc. I can't wait until I get back to Drew and can really play it. You know, with other people over the lan. I hope more than two others get it. Maybe we can bully them into getting it..and playing with us. It should be a lot better than the demo, because that only had one map and three game types. As long as there's at least four. Six would be great, and eight would be wonderful, but two on a team would be minimum.

well, I'm tired, but I'm still not going to bed for a little while. More blogs need to be read.

and that's important.
