taken from an email

Part of this was from an email I wrote to my mom. Because I'm too lazy to type something new. Except this. And anything that may follow the part from the email. yeah.

This weekend I'm going to Virginia for fencing. And by "this weekend," I mean 7 AM saturday to about 4 AM monday. it's not going to be fun, and I'm not going to fence. At all. Unless someone gets hurt. Oh well.

I got my first math test back yesterday, and I got a 93. I also got an 83 in spanish. I still hate that class. It's just as frustrating, and I think taking the same teacher again was a mistake. Apparently at least some of the other teachers for the same level are teaching the material. Oh well, that just means more studying for me and then being tricked on the test.

But then, I don't really feel like typing more. Or do I? I'm going to a Friday Night Magic tonight. That should be lots of fun. I'm really excited for it. I built a deck, but it wasn't so good, so I adapted someone's deck with him that he wasn't using. It's really good. whee.

before deleting important record logs,

programs should have an additional "ok" screen

grr...I accidently deleted all my stored passwords in Mozilla. that means that I have to go back and try to see if I can get them all back. dammit. that's going to be frustrating, although it will keep down on the amount of stored passwords on my computer. or something. also, the password that I use for all my drew stuff has to be changed. apparently, every 180 days, the password must be changed. that's frustrating, because I don't know what to put for it; because it has to be alphanumeric, and also not a dictionary word. so that means that I have to do something like "h212otc32old" or shit like that. (now she's after me with a baseball bat). and the thing was, I was signing up for other stuff (i.e. my ebay account) with the same password as my drew stuff, so now either that's one more username/password combination to remember, or I have to go and find all the stuff I signed up for, then change it to my new password. sigh.

anyway, I have to go to my calculus recitation now. I have a test tomorrow, and I'm not ready for it. I probably should not go to fencing today so I can study/sleep, but I don't think I will.

only a few more minutes in class left

I'm in computer science. right now. (ba da da da. ba da da da). I need to get that album, too.

this is fun, but I seem to understand these things faster than the rest of the class, so I can kill time on the net while still getting everything. yay! especially since all the lectures are on the internet. yay for powerpoint on a website! woohoo.

I just took a quiz, and I messed up on one of the questions, but I think the other questions should have gone well. It was asking for the highest number that can be represented by eight bits of data. I put FF, but I think the question asked to convert it into base ten (255). darn it. Well, I should get quite a bit of partial credit for that.

I hope someone reading this can understand it (crass?).

On sunday, at west point, I went 2 and 1. yayness. my last bout was also really good, so I was happy about that. I was fencing wonderfully.

there was a ton of ice coming down the river (the hudson?) out the window of west point. It was interesting. The view from where we were (the fourth floor) was really pretty, with the river and ice and the mountains with snow. 'twas fun. did you know that one of the buildings at west point has, on the roof in tile, "sink navy." no, really.

ok, class is ending soon, so I'm out. mail check, and kill time before philosophy. shit, I need to go back to my room and print something out. forgot about that.

Official NCAA record: 2 and 3

or

stories of a walk-on

Yeah, I had some really good bouts and some not so good ones. Well, really only one that was disappointing. I mean, one of my losses was to a Div. 1 A strip. And I still got a point on him. What that means is that I did really well. Division 1 in NCAA means that the school can give all kinds of perks to the athlete to entice him or her to go that school. Drew is Div. 3, meaning that the athletes are students first and athletes second. A strip means that that fencer is the best for that weapon the school has. So basically, I got one point on one of the best fencers around. whee.

Anyway, not all that much has happened since last update. School has started, woohoo. Yay for updating. It's so much better than downdating, but not as good as just regular dating. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, I don't get any from updating. I'm going to shut up before I start rambling.
